  • This 3 day program is designed for diagnostic medical sonographers, vascular sonographers, echocardiographers, students and physicians in an effort to provide quality continuing education in the rapidly advancing field of Medical Sonography. It will be held at the Crabtree Mariott in Raleigh, NC. 
  • The goals of the Ultrasound Symposium are to provide participants with a variety of lectures that will enable them to: 1) Describe the basic sonographic principles and procedures; 2) Describe the role of ultrasound in the evaluation of musculoskeletal injuries, arterial and venous physiology and pathology, organ transplants,  adult and pediatric heart disease, fetal anomalies and pre-term labor risks, evaluation of ovarian pathology, etc.   (3) Describe the latest advances in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound of the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, and advances on obstetrical and general sonography. 
  • 21 Continuing Medical Education Credits in specialty specific areas have been applied for through The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (SDMS) for this conference. These SDMS credits are accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) as Category A Credits.
